The phase I factory project by Quacem Limited in Uta Ewa Industrial Layout, Ikot Abasi in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, is in Compliance with the registration requirements and guidelines of the Environmental Impact Assessment (E.I.A) Act No. 86 of 1992 (Nigerian Law). The E.I.A. considers all the involved activities throughout the project life span from importation through operation to decommissioning.

The scope of work for the E.I.A involves an extensive literature survey, a comprehensive field data gathering exercise (dry and wet seasons) within the project environment (Uta Ewa Industrial Layout), consultation activities and a comprehensive socio-economic baseline assessment of communities in the vicinity.
